Inverter, also known as power inverter, is a power electronic device, equipment, and circuit that converts direct current into alternating current, and the resulting AC frequency depends on the specific device used. The role of an inverter is the opposite of that of a rectifier, which was originally a large electromechanical device that converted alternating current to DC. The input voltage, output voltage and frequency of the inverter, as well as the overall power handling, depend on the specific device or circuit design. The inverter itself does not produce any power, and its power is provided by the DC power supply. Inverters can be completely electronic or a combination of mechanical effects (e.g. rotating devices) and electronic circuitry. The static inverter does not use any moving parts during the conversion process. The inverter is mainly used in high-current, high-voltage occasions; A device that is used at very low currents and voltages to perform the same function on an electronic signal is called an oscillator. In addition, a device that converts alternating current into direct current while performing the opposite function is called a rectifier.
